Reviews of Merdeka Palace Hotel & Suites

The room was neat and cheap with single beds and kitchenette, as example.

I absolutely loved the beautiful interior design of the hotel. The grand lobby with its majestic ambiance made me feel like I was staying in a palace. The decorations throughout the hotel were elegant and tasteful, adding to the overall charm. As a senior woman, I also appreciated the hotel's accessibility. The staff were helpful and accommodating, ensuring that my needs were met during my stay.
The only thing I would ask for is better lighting in the rooms. The dimly lit room made it difficult for me to read or do any activities that required good lighting.

Liked a living room, an electric kettle, and an iron in the room. I had a savoury breakfast with normal rate, different dish. The personnel was responsive and helpful as expected. The hotel has strategic and the best location close to waterfront n shopping mall and friendly staff and the local attraction like the museum.
Well, the views were really bad here.

Fine place, it was clean and had responsive staff with the service & the staff. The location of the hotel was strategic and the best - relatively near a venerable museum. A big shopping center and shopping centers were right next door.
Couldn't stay longer.

Breakfast mediocre.

It had strategic and nice location with access to Jalan Carpenter nearby.

The hotel was recently renovated and stunningly beautiful with patient personnel with the service & the staff. The location was perfect, not very far from Kuching Waterfront Bazaar Lively Market.
Couldn't find any faults at all!

The location is good and absolutely perfect, a 10-15 minute walking distance from a venerable museum. The restaurant is nice and the food is appetising.

The dragon dance in the lobby was a delightful and immersive experience. The doormen were polite and provided a warm welcome.
Despite these minor drawbacks, I would still recommend Merdeka Palace Hotel & Suites for its prime location and the captivating dragon dance in the lobby. it was a memorable stay.

The lobby is impressive and its location next to the museums is good. It is only 10 minutes from the river front through the chinese quarters. The staff are all welcoming and helpful in the best Sarawak tradition.
The restaurants were limited in choice.Room 501 is large comfortably appointed but due to west facing situation and old air conditionning unit would not keep the temperature down. The swimming pool is too small to be of interest and ingeneral the hotel is a little run down.

Great breakfast, Asian influence. Friendly and helpful staff. Good location, close to shops and attractions. Nice view from room, would prefer higher level for better city view.
All was good.

The hotel offers great value for money. The location is convenient with easy access to the waterfront area and other attractions. The spacious lobby is a serene and welcoming area to relax. The room was comfortable and had a great view of the park. The staff was very friendly and accommodating.
The room needed some minor repairs and the bathroom was not perfectly clean. The wifi connection was only available in certain areas of the room, which was frustrating.

The hotel location is very great, very easy access to most places. Security is extremely excellent. Staff extremely accomodating to request for extra pillows and blankets. Staff comply to request very efficiently and extremely prompt which I must greatly compliment. Staff are also very friendly and ever helpful. Otherwise the hotel is a good stay and I was recommended about the hotel .
Breakfast should have more variety and food is rather poor. Could be better. We booked the hotel through the internet but was not informed that the booking was based on the cost ++. Was quite shocked to know that it wasn't based on nett price.
